ALL WEEK LONG

CALLING ALL AUNTIES — WE NEED YOU!
​
One of the things we’re most excited about this year is creating intentional opportunities for our kids to learn the traditions, stories, skills and culture that have been passed down through our family.
For our Back to Our Roots Auntie Sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, we’d love for our Aunties to help us put together what you want to teach and share! These sessions will be geared mostly toward our 3rd generation of Coffin kids and can include traditions, culture, songs, crafts, stories, skills, and family history.

For Wednesday’s Back to Our Roots Cooking Lesson, we’d love for the Aunties to get together and choose a few dishes they want to teach and pass down.
The Aunties can decide what dishes they’d like to make, and then anyone who wants to learn is invited to come cook alongside them!

GRANDPAS, WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS YOUR TURN!
​
While the parents head off for Cousins Karaoke, we’re hoping our Grandpas can take over with a special firepit night for the kids!
​
Think campfire, songs, stories from “back in our day,” family memories, funny stories and whatever else the Grandpas come up with. We’d love for you guys to put your heads together and make it a night the kids will remember!
​
COFFIN KIDS — START WARMING UP THOSE VOICES!
​
Throughout the week, our grade-school-aged kids will be practicing a few songs together.
We’ll post the songs ahead of Camp Coffin so families can start practicing at home. Then we’ll rehearse together throughout the week before the kids perform for the residents at Mountain Meadows, our local retirement community in Leavenworth, on Friday morning.

Keep your eyes open all week for family competitions, challenges and surprise opportunities to earn points!
​
Points could show up just about anywhere, so come ready to participate. We’ll keep a running Camp Coffin Family Leaderboard throughout the week, with the winning family announced Friday night!
​
Most importantly, this week is about spending time together, sharing our stories, learning from the generations before us, celebrating our culture and making new Coffin family memories along the way.
